I started this piece with the center finger painting using crumpled wax paper to create texture. This part of the work sat for some weeks before I took it up again and added torn coordinating color tissue over glue, moving it into wrinkles. After finding the orientation I liked, I decided I wanted to add some beads. I first thought of sewing the beads on, but decided to glue them on instead. After gluing on the beads, I brought out the small beads with a silver metallic marker. The actual size of the work is 15x12.5 inches, but I liked this confined by the mat I had. It was fun to do this abstract piece that suggested an undersea grotto to me.
