WHAT: This is an experimental piece with a base of finger paint. Fingers, aluminum foil, and brush handles were used to create textures. Then the base abstraction was layered with colored tissue using diluted acrylic medium.
WHEN: March 2017
WHERE: Paradise, California
WHY: I wanted to try using foil or plastic wrap laid over the wet finger paint to see what it would do. The plastic wrap didn't do much, but the foil created really interesting designs and textures when pulled away from the paint. I used the tissue overlays to create more interest to the painted base.
