The early morning light falls on the evergreens. Though in shadow, the Upper Yosemite Falls are an awesome sight. The late spring snow melt has created a thundering cascade of water falling from the steep granite walls of Yosemite Valley, carved by glaciers of the last Ice Age. This shot was taken on the first day of May 2014.
