Several year ago, I took a tour of the Old West areas including Wyoming and had a quick visit to Jenny Lake, then frozen, in Grand Teton National Park. I used most of the elements of a photo I took there, expressing the scene of the frozen lake with the snow traced mountains in the background in pastels and pastel pencils on blue violet Canson paper. This pastel won a first place Blue Ribbon at the Silver Dollar Fair in Chico, CA.
