WHAT: Nearby fires in Northern California create strange, dusty orange skies in Paradise as sunset approaches. A tiny hummingbird rests for a few minutes before continuing his search for food. Who could think that bush would be vaporized by November?
WHEN: July 2018
WHERE: Paradise, California
WHY: Days of smoky skies brought dusty sunsets to Paradise. I tried to capture the orange ball of the sun in another photo but it didn't work out. A little hummingbird made for an ironic shot. In the midst of nearby danger, the bird sits in perfect calm.
