Artist's Description
WHAT: This mixed media of paper collage, watercolor and colored pencil expresses the connection between a group of twelve women who attended an art retreat. The circle is the sharing circle. The doors represent the individuals revealing themselves, each has a dancing shape behind it of a unique color and a matching tie or ribbon that is twining together in the center of the circle guided by the Spirit. Motifs and themes were picked up from each other to inspire our artwork. The revealed selves are represented by the center of flowers. The background represents the taste of heaven that the union creates.

WHY: I wanted to capture graphically the union and connection I experience in the circle of hearts.
