What: I finally found out what this summer blooming plant was over our fence: yellow bird of paradise flower or plant. It is also called the desert bird of paradise as it is a drought resistant plant. This was taken in morning light.
When: June 2021
Where: Orland, CA
Why: This exotic flowering plant has unusually long red stamens contrasting with a soft yellow flower and called out to be photographed.
