Description
What: The first smoke from a wildfire in the Mendocino National Forest mixes with the cirrus and stratus clouds for a dramatic sunset.
When: August, 2020
Where: Orland, CA
Why: I've photographed a number of Orland sunsets, but this one was different. Who could guess the extent of the wildfires caused by the lightning storms. You can see the smoke entrained in the cloud formations.
