Description
WHAT: "You Are Living Stones - Go Forth" After an art retreat, at which each woman picked a colored stone and put it into a water-filled bowl, we were asked to take our stone from the bowl and take it with us. This piece represents us as stones leaving the bowl going into the infinite possibilities with the water pouring from the bowl. The title recalls the Bible passage referring to Christians as living stones building Christ's church, 1 Peter 2:5 and Jesus' words to his disciples, "Go forth".
WHEN: March, 2017
WHERE: Paradise, California
WHY: I felt such a connection to the other women and to art, I wanted to hold onto the experience though it was time to "go forth" into the world.
